Soar the Heavens with this
4 stringer in your hands!

If I have no sales pitch with any guitar I make or sale. I just make what ever comes to mind and that
is what it is. I don't do any custom work, I do not sign or number my guitars. The guitar itself is the
signature.
If this is the first time you've seen one of my guitars allow me to tell you about myself. I've never
been trained in any type of woodworking or guitar construction. Since I'm not educated in any form
of carpentry I prefer to call myself a craftsman with a passion for history. I have been building all
forms of homemade guitar since I was in my early teens, because of this and my experience and
willingness to try something unconventional is why I have gained an strong instinct of a guitars
strengths and weakness and what ideas will work, and what ones will not.
I sell my guitars as playable art or as "Americana," they are built by hand and far from perfect. In
fact, that is where the charm comes from. I've spent many years trying to build early American tone
into my guitars. I am a one person builder. Everything I do is by hand and eye, pocketknife (ol'
Timer or McCoy) wood file, sandpaper and chisel. It's not because I don’t want to use power tools,
but for the simple reason that I achieve far, far superior results sanding and cutting by hand. I think
machines are wonderful and they help other people save time. But for me, they always seem to
create a lot of dust and because they work so fast they make me nervous when they start skipping
and jumping around, they always seem to cause more problems than they solve. By hand I am
more in touch with the instrument and believe it's a defining factor in any guitar's quality.
Every guitar builder's website has a long list of why their guitars "are the best" and so on....I will
spare you the hot air. You can listen for yourself at the many videos I have posted and decide if
this is the style and type of music that interests you or you would like to play.
But, I can type this head scratcher of a question for you.
Why buy a store bought guitar in this time of hyper mass production?
There are allot of people in the collectible and Vintage Guitar market that are switching from well
built production assembly line guitars like Guild, Martin and Paul Reed Smith to hand built guitars
made by unknown makers because the market is overly saturated with Fenders and Gibsons or
even worse...copies.
Here below is a video example of a cigar box guitar built by hand. It emphasizes tone, has rich
harmonics, haunting sustain and unsurpassed overtones that combine for astounding balance and
exceptional volume for being made with a used cigar box, This mixture allows for dynamics and a
completely authentic early American tone that can NOT be made with a standard factory built
guitar or something imported from in China.

A full album with only 3 string cigar box guitar music! In this album I wanted to delve deeper into
strictly authentic Delta Blues and BottleNeck music exclusively, and only played on three string
cigar box guitar. My goal with this album was to take the listener back to the 20's and 30's and
relive those Dust Bowl Ballads and Delta Blues Spirituals only with a 3 string cigar box guitar. I
can honestly say it's my best work yet....the tone and sound is amazing....They are ALL NEW
NEVER BEFORE HEARD SONGS!
This disc is 16 tracks of soulful Blues that will change your musical life. If you love raw, primitive
and Authentic Delta Blues, American Folk music or Bottle neck slide, you will listen to this CD
100's of times, covering all styles of BottleNeck Americana, from Son House's licks re-written
Red Dog Style, to Woodie Guthrie's "Dust Bowl Ballads" as the debut single played on 3 string
guitar that will leave your jaw on the floor and your ears weepin' for more.... and if there ever is
a Blues "RED" Button warning, you definitely don't want to miss the song "Ryland", imagine
walking through a ghost town in the 1880's, the suspense, the mystery, the whispers you can
barley hear, this is a fantastic song played in the Ry Cooder style that will take your breath
away.
Whelp, enough chatter from me, the album is for sale anytime, give it a try, you'll love it!.... if it's
not your thing, thanks for your time in reading this and you can enjoy the short trailer of the
album below... Thanks again, John

If you liked the movie Crossroads or enjoy listening to Vintage Tube amplifiers you will love the
music that has been recorded on this album. It is based on both modern & vintage Delta
Blues, 60's tube amps that are naturally overdriven, and of course, the legendary Pignose that
was used in the movie...these are sounds that are southern in flavor, perfect for study if your
trying to learn "Electric" Silde guitar, or just enjoy it as a relaxing way to step back in time.
Trying to 'explain' what something sounds like is like trying to describe a color....so, instead of
me trying to explain music, you can hear the first track right here right now....Is this something
that would interest you?
Recording and researching this CD was true labor of love, This compact disc is 20 songs of
homemade Bottleneck guitar with NO singing, only music, all done on cigar box guitars and 3
sting guitars...."3 strings too many" is a escape from today and a journey into the Delta Blues
and America's past.
